Advice

Good rotation, they really want you to be passionate about anaesthetics and to be looking things up in evening. Attend teaching as much as possible. Louise Moran is quite strict. Nice rotation tho more relaxing and staff good craic

Day to Day

Different consultant everyday. Theatre most days helping putting patients to sleep and monitoring intra op. I had to review all patients pre op for anaesthetic assessment. Also did days in ICU.

Day to Day

Same as most surgical jobs - ward round, bloods, answer bleeps, get scans done, discharges. Oftentimes the whole team are gone during day so you left alone on ward to mind patients. Some can be very sick.
