Work through the required course modules, cases and self-assessments, using current rheumatology recommendations to resolve gaps. Keep evidence of course participation and examination results in the training portfolio. Confirm the appropriate course from EULAR’s current catalogue rather than relying on an old course year.
EULAR
EULAR Rheumatology Core Courses and Examinations
RCPI’s July 2026 revision makes attendance at EULAR core courses/exams mandatory and expects trainees to sit and pass the exams during HST. Older 2025 curriculum wording only recommended the online modules/exams as self-assessment; use the curriculum for your cohort.
Examining body: EULAR
Who can sit it
Check the relevant course’s enrolment rules. RCPI refers to EULAR core courses/exams; do not assume every EULAR course or the separate EULAR-UEMS certificate meets that requirement.
When NCHDs sit it
During Rheumatology HST. Plan course enrolment early with your trainer so that the required learning and examinations fit within training.
